Announcing: Linkydink improvements #1
We were listening to you all along
We’ve just shipped the first few of many updates to Linkydink.
We love the heck out of Linkydink here at Makeshift, with most of us contributing and checking on it every day. It turns out a lot of you folks love it just as much as us, leading to us being (not completely wrongly) accused of not giving it the feature-based love and attention it so clearly deserves. Well no more!
As you may know, there is a pretty enormous public roadmap for the project out there, but we are going to try to make some progress on the most pressing (and some of the neatest) requests you’ve made. Here’s the first batch:
- Atom feed for groups
What’s kind of like a list of links? A feed! Now when browsing a group on Linkydink.io you’ll see a button taking you to its Atom feed right down at the bottom right - or you can just add .atom to the URL of your group page. For example, here’s the Makeshift group atom feed:
2. Remove contributors
We made it easier to manage who’s in and who’s out of your group by giving you the option to remove contributors. If you’re the owner of the group, click ‘edit’ on the group - this will take you to a list of contributors from which you can remove people.
3. Edit your email address
Better late than never, right? You can now edit and swap out the email address associated with your account.
4. Delete pending group invitations
If you’re the owner of a group and you have pending invitations piling up, you can get rid of them easily. Hooray!
Well, that’s all for now. If you’re a Linkydink subscriber, keep your eyes peeled on the emails as we’ll announce the next batch of improvements in one very soon.
